About this calendar

One page listing the conferences, workshops and forums that people working in Irish pharmaceutical manufacturing might want in their diary. Nothing else.

What is on it

Events relevant to pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing in Ireland: industry conferences, technical workshops, regulatory forums, site visits and the awards evenings people actually attend. Online events count when an Irish organisation is running them.

Each entry carries a date, an organiser, a location and a link to the organiser’s own announcement. That link is the point of the entry. This site is an index, not a substitute for the organiser’s page, and it does not sell tickets or take registrations.

How entries are checked

Nothing is listed without a source that resolves. If a date is circulating but the organiser has not published it, it waits. If a link dies, the entry is corrected or removed. The calendar is deliberately allowed to be empty: an empty calendar is honest, and an invented one would be worse than no calendar at all.

That is also why there is no month grid on the front page. The realistic state of this list is a handful of events, and a grid of empty squares tells you less than a short list does.

How it is built

A static site with no database, no admin login and no content management system. The entire calendar is a single JSON file in a public repository, and changes arrive as pull requests against it. A validator runs before every build and rejects malformed dates, duplicate entries, missing fields and links that are not https.

The point of that arrangement is durability. The previous version of this site went quiet because keeping it current meant logging into an admin panel, and eventually nobody did. Editing one file is harder to abandon.

Wrong date, dead link, event cancelled, or something missing entirely? Send it in. Corrections are as welcome as new listings.
